Meet James J. Wagner

Trustee James J. Wagner was elected to the Wayne County Community College District’s Board of Trustees in 2022.  He is an Economic Development Consultant for the City of Trenton, responsible for re-development opportunities of the city's vacant, commercial, retail, and industrial sites.  He is also President of Wagner Group Consulting Services.  His activities and services have been extensive, including serving as Mayor of the City of Wyandotte for four terms. 

He is a graduate of Wyandotte St. Patrick’s High School and has attended Eastern Michigan University and Detroit College of Business.  He is a member of the Wyandotte Public School Scholarship Foundation and member of the Downriver Community Conference, Brownfield Board, serving as President and Chairman, respectively, of both organizations.
