Career Planning and Placement

Wayne County Community College District has partnered exclusively with College Central Network® to power its career management platform for its Career Planning & Placement Office.

College Central Network is a robust career platform designed to provide job seekers with employment opportunities and career development resources while providing a pipeline of new talent to business and industry. It features opportunities for part-time jobs, internships, and full-time employment. Making the job search experience easier and more productive.

The Career Planning & Placement Department posts all job opportunities on our WCCCD/College Central Network job site. Students and alumni may go to the College Central Job Site to register, view jobs and post resumes. Resumes posted to our resume database may be e-mailed directly to employers using the WCCCD/College Central Network system.

Once you have registered on College Central Network, you will have access to the following:

  • Search for jobs posted exclusively to Wayne County Community College District; search the Jobs Central® national job board and the Intern Central® national internship board.
  • Build a résumé with Résumé Builder, or upload a résumé file to Resume Central® so you can apply directly to jobs and/or allow it to be searched by employers (if you so authorize).
  • Build an online portfolio in Career Portfolio Central® to support your résumé and demonstrate your best work to employers.
  • Review your job search history. Report offers/hires.
  • Receive emails about programs, services, and job-related topics.
  • Gain access to announcements, upcoming events, career advice documents, career advice videos, podcasts, and career articles from over 125 authors.

You must register with CCN to use our services. Once registered, you may:

  • Search for jobs posted exclusively to Wayne County Community College District; search the Jobs Central® national job board and the Intern Central® national internship board.

Our online Employer Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

You must register your organization with our office prior to accessing these services. Once your registration is reviewed and approved, you will receive an email with a link to activate your account.

If approved, depending on your access level, you will be able to use some or all of the services listed below:

  • Job Posting:
    Post jobs targeted to Wayne County Community College District students and alumni.
  • Résumé Search:
    Search résumés of our students and alumni.
  • Portfolio Search:
    Search career portfolios that our students have prepared and alumni.
