2025 – 2026 Chancellor's Action Priorities
The Chancellor’s Action Priorities outline strategic directions and objectives aligned with the 2022-2026 Strategic Plan. These institutional priorities serve as an annual plan to guide actionable initiatives throughout the year. They facilitate WCCCD’s alignment with its mission, trends in higher education, and overall continuous improvement efforts.
- Expedite enrollment management strategies aligned with retention, persistence, and completion initiatives to advance educational accessibility and attainment.
- Restructure hybrid learning experiences to advance the distance learning campus model focused on streamlining virtual modalities to meet learning and degree completion.
- To close the gap between the cost of education and accessibility, we should continue participating in alternative funding options such as scholarships, tuition amnesty, and grant programs.
- We will continue marketing, branding, and recruitment strategies to increase our institutional footprint and advance quality customer service to meet the needs of the community and local business partners.
- Expand collaborative business and workforce partnerships aligned to career and technical (CTE) education and workforce development through training programs in high-skill and high-demand industries.
- Expand curriculum renewal, micro-credentials, and new program development to support career and technical education and liberal arts to promote career readiness.
- Continue developing high-touch and high-impact student support initiatives to reduce barriers to student success and outcomes.
- Reimagine the Completion Agenda to emphasize student success, upward transferability with articulation agreements, industry-recognized credential attainment, and degree completion.
- Strengthen technology initiatives, network, and digital infrastructure to enhance distance education modalities, website content management, innovative teaching and learning, and data capacity/security infrastructure.
- Advance professional development initiatives that support operational excellence, succession planning, and using AI models to promote faculty, staff, and teaching excellence district-wide.
- Continue creative delivery of continuing education to support community interests, educational enrichment, and serve as a community resource.
- Reinforce supportive partnerships with secondary schools to advance dual enrollment programming strategies and effectiveness.
