First Day Checklist for newly hired faculty that have been assigned a class:

  • Issued - an Employee I.D. # (referred to as A#) [By: Human Resources]
  • Assigned - a Course to Instruct (issued a Class Assignment Form) [By: Educational Affairs]
  • Issued – a district Email address [By: District Information Technology]
  • Issued – Photo I.D. & Campus Parking Sticker [By: Campus Security]
  • Access - Class Rosters [WCCCD Website on Web-Gate]
  • on Web-Gate: https://webgate.wcccd.edu/

Formula for Success

  • (A#) + (Class Assignment Form) = Photo I.D. & Campus Parking Sticker
  • (A#) + (Email address) = accessed to Web-Gate
  • (A#) + (Class Assignment Form) + (Web-Gate access) = Class Roster
  • Adjunct Faculty Mandatory Instructional Maintenance Procedures

Student Attendance Reporting

Mandatory: attendance must be taken at every class session.
FYI: students are not allowed to remain in class unless registered and on the class roster
Unregistered students should be dismissed to the Student Services office.

Course Syllabi

Must be distributed on the first day of class to students
Copy provided to the Campus Administration Office (attn: CAO) prior to the start of class and/or on the first day of instruction.

Textbooks

Only selected textbooks selected by the District prior to the first class session, are authorized for use.
