Graphic Design Technology

The Wayne County Community College District (WCCCD) graphic design technology faculty equips students with the tools and techniques used in the industry, concepts based on the design environment, and the application of design software so they can meet the challenges and demands of an evolving job market.

Our program offers students foundational concepts that parallel today’s latest graphic design technology. After receiving the foundations in art, computer literacy, and basic math, the student will receive extensive training in all aspects of Adobe Creative Suite.

A certificate in graphic design technology from WCCCD prepares you for work as a graphic designer.

What’s the Job Outlook for Graphic Designers?

The employment of graphic designers is projected to grow 3% from 2022 to 2032, which is about as fast as the average for all occupations. This growth is expected to be fueled by the demand for digital design in web and mobile interfaces, though tempered by a decline in print media.
