Entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurship is designed for those who have or desire to have their own business. Emphasis is on successfully creating and sustaining a competitive advantage in starting, managing, and growing a small business. This program focuses on the preparation needed for small business ownership.
Entrepreneurship plays a vital role in the growth of the U.S. economy. It is a process through which individuals identify opportunities, allocate resources, and create value. This creation of value is often through the identification of unmet needs or opportunities for change.
Do you want to start a business? The Business Daily News defines an entrepreneur as “identifying a need and starting a business to fill it.” Entrepreneurs are innovators, a source of new ideas, goods, and services or expanding on what’s already existing. One risk of starting a new business often comes from a lack of preparation: Is it a viable idea?
The Entrepreneurship Certificate will provide you with the key areas of consideration to ensure you understand the complexities of business startups. You need to manage and market your business; there are courses for that. You may have employees or even contractors; you need to know a bit about human resources and business law. How will you finance your business? There’s a course for that, too. The Entrepreneurship program will open your eyes to what is required to start a new business.
