Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC)

The Wayne County Community College District (WCCCD) Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) faculty focus on instilling students with the ability to maintain, install and repair climate control devices in residential, industrial, and commercial buildings. 

Our program provides students with training in the layout and design of cooling and heating systems, using the latest tools, gauges, and testing equipment used in the field, and troubleshooting and inspecting equipment.

An Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree/certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) from WCCCD prepares you to become:

  • HVAC installers
  • HVAC mechanics
  • HVAC technicians 

What’s the Job Outlook for Cybersecurity Professionals?

Employment of heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration mechanics and installers is expected to grow 13 percent from 2018 to 2028, much faster than the average for all occupations. The rising demand for trained technicians will result in excellent employment opportunities.

Where is WCCCD’s Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Program Offered?

The Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) program is offered at our Eastern and Ted Scott campuses. Both campuses also offer similar certificates and degrees.

As a WCCCD student, you can take courses, use facilities, and get involved at any of our six locations.
